he was the one who chained her up and
locked her in her own mental prison; that
he was the one damaging her more. It was
the burden he must take on to protect those
he loved from her tyrannical wrath.
But no matter how much he wished
against, she was family.
She was his sister.
There still existed one part of him that
wished to show any kind of bond he could
have for her. And so he did.
And one faithful day, before she was too
awake to realize what he was doing,
he simply dropped fire lillies; ruby red
flowers that he recalled was her favorite,
right to her bedside. Being the only one
allowed to be close enough to actually
touch her, tucking her in the comfiest blanket
he could find and sighed.
Maybe this, too, was enough. ]
